Be an Encourager

  • Save

Therefore encourage each other and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

The Bible tells us to go out and encourage one another and to build each other up. To encourage and build up others is an especially important instruction for business owners and business leaders. Here's why … your words have weight, your attitude is contagious, your disposition can bring light or darkness to someone's day.

What you say and how you say it has the power to …

(i) build loyalty;

(ii) create trust;

(iii) increase rapport;

(iv) inspire better results; and

(v) glorify God by allowing others to see the character of Christ through you.

Make today a day that you are an encourager and a blessing to those you encounter. This include members of your team, vendors, suppliers, clients, customers and everyone else you encounter.

What's Next?

I encourage you to look for and find ways to encourage and build up everyone you encounter today, even if you are delivering bad news or expressing displeasure. Here's how … be thoughtful about your words and tone of delivery.

The Bible tells us to go out and encourage one another. Do this, knowing that God sees you and will bless your words and actions.

It's my prayer that this message is a blessing to you. If you need help being an encourager and builder of others, hit reply to let me know. I'd love to hear from you!
