Sometimes it Seems Illogical

Have you ever gotten an instruction from the Lord that based on what you see around you doesn’t seem to make sense?

Has God ever directed you to make a series of decisions that seem contrary to what most people, including you, think is reasonable?

Have you ever been afraid to do what God said because you had limited confidence that the “IT” for which you were praying would really happen?

If you ever find yourself answering yes to these types of questions, open your Bible to Proverbs 3:5-6 and soak in the wisdom God makes available to you …

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

It is not always easy to determine why God is directing you along a particular path on your journey to stewarding a business that glorifies Christ, serves people and generates sustainable wealth-building revenue.

It can be difficult to understand why God is telling you to do something that seems illogical not only to those around you, but also to you!

It can be challenging to stay the course of trusting and relying upon what God says to you, instead of what you see in front of and around you.

It is a test of your faith to give up the “perceived” safety of “human logic” and rely upon divine guidance from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

You must decide to put your trust in God (and do it) in order to pass the test

The Bible helps us overcome difficulties in trusting God when things seem uncertain with wisdom found in the books of Proverbs, Psalms, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Hebrew and Romans.

—–> Commit your ways to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. Psalm 37:5

—–> And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

—–> For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

When you are in doubt about what is possible for your business and your life based on what you see or what others are saying, meditate upon these bible verses. Then, look back upon your life and write down examples of when God lifted you from the perils of where you could have been to the safety of where you landed.

Reflect upon what you wrote knowing that “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” Hebrew 13:8
