What Are You Doing For Them?

Sustainable business is not a one woman or man endeavor. If your company is going to serve well, build wealth and give you space to enjoy your life – you have got to develop a loyal team.

Therefore, whatever you want others to do for you, do also the same for them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12

A vital characteristic of a loyal team that pays dividends in business is commitment. This is true even when your team is a team of one.

Commitment builds a solid foundation for success when it shows up in three ways:

1. Commitment to the vision and mission;

2. Commitment to projects; and

3. Commitment to you.

As you read right above, the Word of God says if you want someone to do something for you, you've got to first do it for them.

Let's start with your company's vision and missionThis commitment in reverse shows up in your demonstrated concern about the personal growth, development, and happiness of your staff.

Commitment to projects shows up in your commitment to doing what you say you will do and being transparent when you cannot do so.

Commitment to YOU shows up when your team sees you as a human being with strengths, weaknesses, an unyielding commitment to building something that matters – and a sincere heart.

Show your commitment to those who work for you by seeing and treating each person as unique and complete human being with needs, interests, and aspirations inside and outside of work.

The Bible tells us that the best way to get people do what things for us is to first do it for them. Now that you have ideas about how to really put this into action, it's your time to act.

Until then, know that …

I love you with the Love of the Lord! ~ Coach TC
