Will You Surrender?

  • Save

It is very easy to be so busy in your business that you are always rushed, late and operating in the mediocrity of getting by or holding on, instead of working in the spirit of excellence that God commands in Colossians 3:23-24.

If this describes where you are in business right now, God has a solution.

Surrender.

What is surrender?

–> Willful acceptance and yielding to a dominant force and will …. the will of God.

–> Putting your objectives and goals aside in favor of what God has told you to do.

–> Obeying God, even when it requires delaying what you think is just reward for your hard work.

Yet Lord, you are our Father: we are the clay, and you are our potter; we all are the work of your hands. Isaiah 64:8

What does it mean to surrender your business to God?

Here are a few ideas for you to consider …

1) To surrender your business to Christ is to move personal ambition to the side and open yourself to hearing from the Lord.

2) To surrender your business to God is to ask God to show you exactly how YOU can use what is happening in your business (the good, the bad, the ugly and the pretty) for God's glory so that His Will is done here on earth as it is in heaven.

3) To surrender your business to Jesus is to find joy through doing business in a way that builds wealth, only through service to clients, customers, staff, vendors, and stakeholders that glorifies Christ.

What would happen if you decided to surrender your business to Christ today?

—–> What would stop doing?

—–> What would you start doing?

—–> How would your goals change?

—–> How would your priorities change?

Invest some time thinking about your answers to these questions. Adjust your goals, plans, and actions accordingly.

It's my prayer that this message is a blessing to you. If you need help surrendering to God in your business, hit reply to let me know. I'd love to hear from you!
