Are You Still Waiting?

Stop waiting around.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

Are you waiting for someone to notice how prepared you've made yourself to do the Work through business to which God called you?

  • Perfect website, great marketing materials, impressive signage, nicely furnished office space, newly minted degrees, important certifications, powerful mentors.

Or, are you actively asking, seeking, and knocking on the doors of opportunity, even when people slam some of those doors in your face?

Activate Your Biblically-Sound, Business Thinking and Take Action:

God has not called you to simply work in the background taking care of the corporate responsibilities required to do your Work well.

You are also responsible for and required to do the Work that is necessary for you to have more Work to do.

  1. Make the call.
  2. Send the email.
  3. Attend the meeting.
  4. Ask the questions.
  5. Be both content through God's grace on your journey through Work in business, and ambitious in seeing more of the character of Christ in the world of business.

Now that you know, what will you do?

This speaks to me so much. My motivation and accomplishments have been just meeting the bare minimum lately, and I feel I should be doing more (I know I can!) to acquire new customers. I think we get content and comfortable which can sometimes be a double edged sword as we aren’t as driven to keep powering on and do the work we have waiting for us! 🙂

I’m so bad about calling people – I usually send out emails, but I need to get more focused on picking up the phone. I believe phone calls allow for a better connection than email. Now I will do my best starting next week to make calls instead of trying to take shortcuts with emails.
