Don’t Be a Fool

  • Save

Let's talk about you.

–> You know a lot; this is a fact.

–> You have asked for wisdom and God continues to give it to you; this is true.

–> You are talented; another truth.

–> You are accomplished; your resume shows it.

–> You can do anything through Christ; the word confirms it.

All of the things I've written about you may be totally accurate and yet the Bible still cautions against being wise in our own eyes and advises that we consult wise counsel.

Do you see a person who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. Proverbs 26:12

It is important to note that Proverbs 26:12 is about being “wise” in your own eyes. It does not advise against being bold, courageous and confident.

In fact, the Bible calls you to be bold, courageous and confident while also (1) asking God for wisdom and (2) seeking the advice of wise counsel.

As you are coming to the end of this business period (the 1st quarter), be intentional about keeping a list of the areas in which you need to be stronger even while you are running hard to end the quarter strong.

Write down what's happening around you, but waste no time thinking about what's wrong.

For now, keep a list, knowing that God will make available the wise counsel you need to make the next business period even stronger than the first.

Keep going!

Your focus + diligence is leading to a win.
