Flow in Your Business and Career With Ease

Here's how to flow in your business and career with EASE.

At FaithFocusFlow® International, we believe that even while ambitiously chasing after God's heart in our Work, we can find rest in the Lord.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

To help the founders, owners, and leaders we train in FaithFocusFlow® programs integrate the truth of this passage from the book of Matthew into their Work, I developed a process to help our leaders build and grow with E.A.S.E.

Let's get into it.

To build and grow at Work with E.A.S.E. requires a commitment to excellence, not perfection.

Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity. Titus 2:7

I've written about excellence before and I'm doing it again. Excellence (not perfection) is key to building a business that adds value to the world and financial stability to those who have a financial interest. Excellence is built on integrity and dignity. Perfection keeps your business stuck and from being productive because your staff and you are caught up chasing an impossible standard.

Train your staff and yourself to focus on the integrity of doing what you've promised (plus at least a little more) and the dignity that flows from being righteous in what you do and how you do it.

To build and grow at Work through your business and in your career with E.A.S.E. requires accountability.

So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. Romans 14:12

  • Be accountable to your vision.
  • Be accountable to your team.
  • Be accountable to the people who pay you.
  • Be accountable to your industry, for you are one of its representatives in the world.

Know that in all things, you will be accountable to God.

If you want your Work to grow with E.A.S.E., it must be scalable.

But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way. 1 Corinthians 14:40.

To be scalable means to have processes, procedures, and systems that govern how you do what you do. It's not always easy to put structure in place, but when you do, you'll help your team, clients, and customers work on one accord, making it possible to scale your Work through increasing your impact, influence, and income streams with EASE.

If scaling with excellence is your goal, creating decency and order in your processes, procedures, and systems is your charge.

If you want your Work to be an asset to the Kingdom of God with E.A.S.E., you must integrate respect into the core of your Work every day and in every way.

“So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 7:12

In life and at Work, it's easy not to require that people you don't agree with or perhaps even like be treated with respect by those who work for you and by you too. It's also easy to be unconcerned about being respectful to people who poke around your Work but do not invest.

A lack of respect in both of these areas is not only short-sighted, it is counter-productive to building a positive, profit-generating reputation that goes ahead of you and opens doors on your behalf.

When dealing with people directly or indirectly through your Work in business or your career, keep the wisdom of Matthew 7:12 in mind and tell your team to do it too. For when this biblical truth about respect is your standard, you'll build rainmaking relationships for your Work with EASE.

Now that you know how activate your biblically-sound business thinking to Work with EASE, what will you do?

What helps me in my small business (only 4 employees currently) is to have short meetings every other morning, just 10 minutes or so. It recharges everyone and motivates us too.

When you scale up, always be sure to keep the same values. It’s easy to get a big head and forget the root of your business’s message.
