Stay connected

Here's one thing I've learned in my years of living: this time of the year can bring a lot of emotion. Some emotions … positive, uplifting, and encouraging. Other emotions … sadness, disappointment, or loneliness.

Let's talk about your emotions …

Similar to how what you feel in the moment is inspired by what came before, how you will feel in the next moment can be largely influenced by what you do within the next few minutes … right after reading this short message.

Please both (1) honor what you feel in this moment and also (2) decide to take action right after you read this message to build your business in a way that supports your well-being and increases your impact.

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

For the rest of this year, focus on connecting or reconnecting with people you admire, appreciate, love, honor, or otherwise want to know better – to encourage them and build them up.

‘Connecting with others provides us with a sense of connection and community. It is said that our vibe attracts our tribe and so a powerful way to elevate our vibe is to create and connect with our community.' ~ Coach TC

In season, especially, connect with people important to your personal well-being and those you respect and admire who can be important for your business acceleration. Connect and reconnect with the sole agenda of being a blessing through your words or actions and spreading love and appreciation.

A couple of ways to do this …

Personal Notes:

  1. Make a list of no more than 10 people you hold in high regard with whom you'd like to have a more meaningful personal or professional relationship in the upcoming year.
  2. Write a personal note – (i) a holiday greeting, (ii) appreciation for something noteworthy or inspirational the person said, wrote, or did during the year or in previous years, (iii) well-wishes or prayers for success and acceleration in the new year or (iv) whatever else Holy Spirit leads you to share.
  3. Mail your handwritten note or use technology as appropriate for what you've written. If you don't have a person's mailing address, ask for their business address and share that you'd like to mail a handwritten letter.

Holiday Cards:

  1. If you are not sending holiday or new year cards to people in your community, including current and past clients – make this the year you do so.
  2. Let your cards speak to your brand's personality by including a custom message or unique image (something created for your brand, created by you, or a photo you took) that is special for your community.
