What’s Really Going On?

  • Save

Better is he who is lightly esteemed, and has a servant, than he who honors himself, and lacks bread. Proverbs 12:9

Building, managing and growing a successful business is not for the easily distracted, easily impressed, easily discouraged or easily intimidated.

BUILDING A FOUNDATION …

The foundation of your success is the result of those things you do behind the scenes when no one is clapping, awarding or celebrating you.

It's easy to get distracted by what you see around you. This is especially true in today's social media world where so many folks carefully curate profiles that amplify what looks like success and spin a fairy tale around struggles (if they mention struggle at all).

If serving Jesus is your thing … you must remain focused on what God has placed ahead of you, not what's happening around you.

God is glorified when the people you serve honor your Work and you've used your resources wisely so you can create opportunities while inspiring transformation for others NOT when you are wasteful in trying to make others think you are important, all the while you are struggling to stay afloat.

DO …

Remain focused on being highly esteemed by the people, communities, and industries that your business serves through your impact.

Be disciplined with investing your time and resources in wealth-building activities and opportunities.

Be committed to scaling your business so others might be blessed with the opportunity to experience God in business through your work.

AVOID …

Avoid doing things just to be seen when your foundation is shaky or your business is not yet providing fruit that provides value and gets results.

Avoid chasing the spotlight when you know your time is better invested creating or strengthening the foundation of your business.

KNOW YOUR SEASON …

There's a time to turn up the volume on personal branding so others will know what you're doing to create value and there's a time to focus on what you are offering the world that creates values. Know what season your business is in and work accordingly.

TRUST …

Trust that God has incredible things in store for you and your Christ-centered business when you stay focused on doing Work that glorifies Jesus, serves people and generates revenue through providing incredible value.

NEXT STEPS …

Focus on that work you've been given to do.

Be a good steward of your time and finances.

Expect God to bless your labor.

Watch God work!
