You are salt.

“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.” Matthew 5:13

Let's talk about the benefits of salt.

The human body can't live without some sodium. It's needed to transmit nerve impulses, contract and relax muscle fibers (including those in the heart and blood vessels), and maintain a proper fluid balance. Salt is essential for good health; however, optimal health needs it in moderation. Moderation is key. www.health.harvard.edu

Historically, salt was used to preserve food. High amounts can prevent growth of the bacteria that cause food to go bad. www.healthline.com

Now, let talk about you.

The Word says YOU are salt.

  • Your personality,
  • Your thoughts,
  • Your ideas,
  • Your visions,
  • Your dreams,
  • Your integrity,
  • Your core values,
  • Your guiding principles,
  • Your humor (that does not come at the expense of harming others),
  • Your joy,
  • Your fun (that is good-hearted, not mean or petty),
  • Your heart, and
  • Your Christ-centered way of being collectively make-up the saltiness that is you.

The essence of your character is salt.

Activate Your Christ-Centered, Biblically-Sound, Business Thinking:

Do not allow people or circumstances to make you lose your unique taste to “blend in.”

You are created to season the earth with just enough (but not too much) of your saltiness. Remember, moderation is key for optimal flavor and benefits! We cover more about moderation in seasoning during one of our FAITHgineer Leadership Academy Masterclasses. 🙂

The corporate world and business needs your Christ-centered saltiness to build corporate cultures that attract people, transform people, serve people, and glorify God – while building wealth in more ways than just financially.

Know that you are salt. Go out and flavor the earth.

This is right on point! Love the salt analogy. My mom actually went on a low sodium diet and got very ill! Salt is essential, but not too much of course 😀

  2. Wendy

Love this message about salt. Salt is awesome!
