Are Your Actions Strategic?

  • Save

There is a secret connection between character and productivity in business that once activated will (1) catapult your company to new levels of success while (2) transforming your life in a way that gives you time to enjoy the things you love.

The secret connection is …. thoughtful action.

Action become thoughtful (and strategic) when it's structured to accomplish goals that are SMART (specific. measurable. actionable. relevant. time-bound)Thoughtful action that is based on the teachings of Jesus helps you, through your company, make life and business here on earth as it is in heaven.

Pay careful attention, then, to how you live – not as unwise people but as wise – making the most of the time, because the days are evil. So, don't be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. Ephesians 5:15-17

Thoughtful action is the result of having a purpose for everything you do in worship, work, rest and play. When your actions are intentional and have purpose, putting your whole heart into them and playing to win becomes a natural occurrence.

Being thoughtful and intentional creates an environment that helps you see, hear and feel God's presence and answers all around you. This is true for matters related to business and those those related to your personal life.

Thoughtful, strategic action starts with being clear about what you want and expect.

The more clear you are, the more focused you'll become.

The more focused you become, the more confident you'll be.

The more confident you are, the more positive your attitude.

The more positive your attitude, the more consistent your behavior.

The more consistent your behavior, the greater your results.

The greater your results, the more trusted you'll become.

The more trusted you become, the more productive you'll be.

The more productive you are, the more significant your increase in impact, influence, and income.

Implement this philosophy for success with an activated intention to do the most good for the most people in a manner that produces the least harm possible, and you will be building a business that glorifies Christ, serves people and creates opportunities to build wealth. I call this a form of conscious capitalism.

Conscious capitalism serves the kingdom and leads to wealth by leaving things better while you're there and after you leave than when you arrived.

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24
