It’s Time to Really Believe

  • Save

Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!” Exodus 6:6

It is incredibly easy to SAY we believe what God has promised us, but allow fear and doubt to creep in and make us feel that it’s not gonna happen. This is a double-mindedness the Bible warns us against. This kind of double-mindedness will keep you from doing the work and living the life God has intended for you. James 1:6-8

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1:6-8

To have fear and doubt is human. The good news for all of us is that the Bible provides precise instructions for re-centering and refocusing on what God has said is on the way for you, regardless of how things look around you.

Here’s how:

1. Choose to believe God, and cry out to God to help our unbelief. Exodus 6:6

2. When a negative thought creeps in, hold it captive and submit the thought to the Lord.

When you hold every negative thought captive and submit it to the Lord, your subconscious no longer works against you, but instead supports the vision God has given you and what God is already doing in your life.

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5

Give this Bible-based strategy a go and let me know how it blesses you.
