Work and Wait

Overnight successes that withstand the test of time never really happen overnight; they are most often years in the making.

When tempted to go for a quick result at the expense of doing something the right way, remember this … you are building an enterprise or movement that is assigned first to bring honor and glory to God. Bringing honor and glory to God only happens when “excellence” is your standard.

I am certain that I will see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:13-14

Let’s apply this passage to your business …

Verse 13 … Be be confident that you will see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living. This includes “goodness” in the businesses God has created you to lead. Hold on to this truth if ever you feel discouraged.

Verse 14 … Wait for the Lord, be strong and let your heart be courageous. Use this verse to encourage yourself while doing the Work God has called you to with joy and peace… even while working and waiting to enjoy the results of your labor.

Now … A CAUTION… neither this message nor Psalm 27 provides an EXCUSE for you to ignore the numbers and other data in your business that indicator success or the lack of success.

You must be diligent about minding the numbers in your business. In fact, it is essential that you know, expect and anticipate what is happening as much as possible. Know your numbers.

Apply Psalm 27:13-14 to your business and professional life to be joyful and operate with a sense of peace, even while waiting to experience the goodness of business, while here in the land of the living.

Until then, know that …

I love you with the Love of the Lord! ~ Coach TC
