Be Intentional By Your Actions

You can only maximize what God has given you to steward and increase your capacity for more when there is order.

There can be no peace without order. This is BIBLE. The Word of God makes this clear in 1 Corinthians 14:33 where it says, “God is not a God of disorder but of peace.”

The Bible addresses the need for “order” in our personal lives as business leaders, by providing qualifications for overseers and deacons – and in business, through instructions for church meetings.

First, your personal life …

The instructions in 1 Timothy for church overseers and deacons provide a clear path for how business leaders who follow Christ should conduct personal affairs through the presentation of a powerful question …

If anyone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of God’s church? 1 Timothy 3:5

The same question can be asked about your household. It’s important for your staff, clients and customers to see “order” in how you organize your personal life. Compassion, fairness and integrity are traits that must govern how you conduct yourself, even outside of “work hours.”

People are noticing more about you and how you conduct your affairs that you think. Be mindful. Living an orderly personal life inspires trust that you are managing your businesses with integrity. Conducting yourself with a sense of order is also how others see Christ through you.

Do not despair if order is not yet a word that can be used to describe your household or yourself. Remember, the purpose of God’s word is to convict, not condemn. With conviction there can be transformation.

Make today the day you focus on putting your personal life and your household in order. Engage wise counsel as needed to help you get where God has called you to be.

Now, your business …

The guidance for church meetings provides a clear model for how we are to have structure in our businesses. Structure includes systems, processes, best practices as well as other strategies and tactics for getting things done in excellence. God’s Word says …

But everything should be done decently and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40

Take a look at how you do business.

—> Do you have systems for consistency?

—> Do you have processes for effective scaling?

—> Do you have a set of values and best practices through which you filter decisions?

If you answered no to any of these questions, do not get yourself into a state of despair.

Order is not about perfection in results, it’s about pursuing excellence in daily action.

Make today the day you start taking actions in your business intended to bring the consistency, structure and “order” necessary to be a good steward of all that God has allowed you to have thus far and will bless you to acquire through favor and sales in the days ahead!

You can do it, so get to doing!
