John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. Mark 1:6.

John the Baptist was distinctly different from what as usual for people of certain classes during the time he lived.

Well, so are you.

While you may not be existing on a daily diet of locusts and wild honey or called to live among the poorest of those in our society (if you are called to live among the poorest, be obedient, not afraid) some things about you are just different from others.

You are different. Embrace it.

Society would have you discard and destroy your unique way of being in order to assimilate into what is deemed “acceptable” by the culture. Resist.

You are an original, designed by God to do good works prepared in advance for you.

  • Be bold and courageous in being the exact person God created.
  • Do your best to daily increase in wisdom, grace, and joy.
  • Do what is necessary to be the best you can be.
  • Be immovable by influences or pressure to fit in – or go with the status quo.

You are here on this earth to do a specific Work in or for business that only YOU can do.

You were born to lead.

One Response to “Be More of YOURSELF

  • It’s so refreshing when I see someone on Instagram that has stood out and become popular because of how unique they are 🙂 I believe and hope it’s becoming more commonplace for our individual selves to shine in this day and age!
